The current batch of the Conscious Bar's cacao is sourced from the Semuliki Forest in Western Uganda. The company partners with over 4,664 certified organic smallholder producers that are committed to ethical and sustainable farming. After harvest, the cacao beans ferment for 6-7 days in tiered wooden boxes to develop complex flavor. Then, they are sun-dried before being hand-sorted for export.
